VC179 6000-Count True RMS Industrial Multimeter, 1000V

The VC179 is a 1000V industrial multimeter for electricians and maintenance engineers who need a precise DC voltage reading. Its DCV accuracy is ±(0.09%+2) across 600mV to 1000V, and AC voltage also runs to 1000V. A backlit 6000-count display with an analog bargraph shows trends and unstable signals, and the meter works in manual or automatic ranging.

The VC179 has its own catalog page and no direct sibling. Compared with the 6000-count VC99 in the VC98 auto-range series, it is rated ±(0.09%+2) on DCV against ±(0.5%+5), reads AC voltage to 1000V instead of 750V, measures frequency to 15MHz instead of 10MHz, and runs on 9V (6×1.5V AA) instead of two AAA cells. The VC87 remains the choice for VSD voltage on variable frequency drives.
